Monochrome Challenge - 3 of 4 Almost done!!!

Yippee! I am almost done with all 4 layouts, and it has been a challenging month for me. I have never done a challenge before and just in the month of September I have completed (almost) 3 challenges, 6 layouts! I know some people complete more than that in a month but give me a little credit for doing 6!
#3 of the 4 is green, and the twist is suppose to have 5 shades of green. The picture does not do it justice - there are 5 shades and I love the picture of my dh and dd at the beach talking! I shot the perfect picture at the perfect time. Hence the name of the LO is A Perfect Moment in Time!

TFL!!

Monochrome Challenge LO#2

This is the second of four (4) that I signed up to complete for the September Monochrome Challenge on scrapbook.com - Love that site! This challenge is to create a LO with your favorite pastel, and the twist (added points) is to use embossing, which I love to do! I love using pinks and purples in most of my LO's so this one was great, and the LO was simplistic, as I did not want to clutter it too much. Hence the name of the LO - So Sweet!

Full LO View:
I used the small stamp (clear w/red flowers shown above) to use for the embossing under the picture. There is really light dark pink ink on the edges of the white page, and really light dusty concord ink on the whole white page. On the edges of the main/purple page, I sewed in white to stay consistent with the colors I used.

All I want for Christmas - September Monochrome Challenge

These challenges are definitely getting me going on my layouts for the year! Also, challenging me to go beyond what I normally do. This challenge I will be creating four (4) different LO's. This is the first (1) of the four (4) (on scrapbook.com). The challenge was to create a layout using brick red, and the twist was negative space. Since I had practice with negative space on my last layout that did not seem as challenging as the first time. There is a definite ease when you do a layout technique for the second time. TFL!

Cherish - Designed for September Challenge

I'm really excited about these challenges as it brings out more creativity in me, and it pushes me to create more layouts!! This LO is for the September Negative Challenge in sb.com. I enjoyed it allot! All I need to do was make sure there was negative space on it.....and since it was my first time, I hope I accomplished just that! Thank you for stopping by to take a peek at the items used and a closer look!

My 1st Challenge LO

Well this is my first layout that I am entering into a challenge. The challenge is to use aqua, red, and white...I hope that shows! I am really excited as this is my first entered layout, and I hope people like it enough to be chosen - like everyone else who is entering! As always, thank you for looking!

Entire view:

I used Tim Holtz, Broken China Distressed ink around the title, and raised it by using square adhesives. Also, I used a corner punch to give it a cleaner look.

I did some stitching with a sewing machine, and rub-on's. Once the run-on's were on I placed all the gems/rhinestones. I used a border punch, scalloped scallop, and paper distresser on the edges.

Below is a closer look at the distressed paper on the other side, and different thread color to make sure I really used the aqua!

Halloween Cards!!

I know I'm early for Halloween Cards but who says it too early or too late!! You can never be too late or too early in my mind! As long as you have a mind to create and finish it then who cares about promptness.
Below are some of my Halloween cards that I just finished, and I'm sure there will be more to come in the next couple of weeks! As always thank you for looking!!
Card #1:

The webs, coffin, chandelier, gate, and spider are all embossed with this beautiful embossing color ( PEARLustre - Carnelian) that I purchased at Michaels. Except the chandelier is with Stamp n Stuff - Red Dragon, so there is a glitter to it. The top of the chandelier is with Stickles - Diamond. The Happy Halloween stamp and Bat next to it are stamped with StazOn - Timber Brown.

Card #2:
The happy halloween is embossing with white embossing powder. The spider, and Dracula are stamped using StazOn - Jet Black. The spider paper, and frames are from Recollections Ravenhead Manor, 5x7. And the frames are just cut out from one of the papers.
