I love making cards, page layouts, as well as other homemade designs that my whole family can enjoy viewing. It has been a hobby for me that I love doing to capture those memories that are dear and near to our hearts and are not forever lost. Hello there! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So I have been gone for a while now. Not only working full time but traveling as well. The new year is coming up and I am sticking to new resolutions even if it means little sleep! Who needs sleep anyways??</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So I was able to make a couple of things while I finally got a vacation! I made a really cute holiday card holder and the below card for V-Day! Can you believe that Valentines Day is coming up? Time sure does fly by when you are working! :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Below is a simple card, and I used the following items;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<ul>
<li>paper - random from an art small stack and love stack from a while ago</li>
<li>the brown paper (with writing over it) is distressed using Tim Holtz distresser</li>
<li>heart punch from creative memories</li>
<li>the tag was made using a corner punch up front, heart brad, tea dye inking, and embossed 'I love You' in light pink. Sorry you cannot see it that well.</li>
</ul>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
There will be more coming up! Just stay tuned, and as always, thank you for looking!</div>
<div>

Its been a good life for 2.5 yrs since I have been able to bond with my daughter at the most critical time in her life. And I have decided to do a couple of things, one being that I need to post more often. You would think it would be easy for me since my computer has wi-fi, which means I can take it anywhere in the house, not just the office. But I keep it in the office like most people! I think that will change. I will be posting more often and even debating on creating another blog for other postings as this one has been mostly for scrapbooking.<br />
<br />
My other change is that I am going to send my LO and/or cards to be published. I have been wanting to this for a while and thought a friend would help out with it but no avail. Apparently she has other priorities and it seems I will be researching, contacting, and sending them out on my own. I just hope I do it correctly! If anyone has any advice or recommendations, please let me know! I'm open to all of them! :0)<br />
<br />
Thank you for taking the time to read my post and hopefully comment on it!<br />

So a bit of time would be nice and time seems to be running out quicker since I've been working again! Besides if I could get more in the scrap world of selling my designs I would be ecstatic, just like any scrapper!</div>
<br /><div><div style="text-align: left;">I did have a moment to myself to finally create a layout that has been on my project list for a while and laying on my desk waiting to be completed. The reason its taken longer than normal to complete this one is because its with my mom who passed away in 2006. It was very hard to even look at the picture at first then I knew I had to finish it. I really wanted to finish it before her 5 year anniversary which is in September and that was a big goal of mine. So even as hard as it was I am pleased with the results and did something new too!</div><div style="text-align: left;">

We ended up going to Los Angeles for the weekend. My MIL's birthday is on 7/4, so some of the family went to her house for a family gathering and BBQ. Lots of fun and we got to see fireworks there too! It was long, and a bit exhausting but I'm sure we would do it again in a heart beat!</div><div>Below is the card that I made my MIL for her birthday. I was having a bad time making this simple card ... believe it or not! The original card (2 cards actually) had a different background card, it had music notes. It was perfect! But then my idea to add stuff turned into a disaster. I wanted to sew in red, and blue curves but the sewing machine thread kept coming out of the</div><div> needle and just making holes, not good. So after making my 3rd card, I decided to leave out the thread but it would have been so cute! So I was a bit bummed out at the final result.</div><div><br /></div><div>TFL! </div><div> <span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(28, 28, 28); font-family: Vivaldi; font-size: 35px; line-height: 40px; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 2px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 2px; ">Mary</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(28, 28, 28); font-family: Vivaldi; font-size: 35px; line-height: 40px; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 2px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 2px; "><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjTJnQMtAZj9C2MU-j7Inq0_9YeEHxJfM9Tx58VHj6FhwK3PJmePjLSNgywiQ49Dnpk5-I5Nkeo2u7P_mJ2Xcaq90V589IpjV03AHaplK-_ashZqdf6C0dofmwAakDlEhK-RBGGWF7jhmI/s320/014.JPG" style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5626048008301203794" /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" ><span class="Apple-style-span" style="line-height: 40px; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 2px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 2px;"><br /></span></span></div>Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08779621018860251063noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5568535101585249306.post-62297357485845991252011-06-21T10:15:00.000-07:002011-06-21T15:25:22.984-07:002 beautiful thank you cardsWell I was really fortunate to go to a scrapbooking event, where I got to scrap for a couple hours with really nice girlfriends - I just met some of them for the first time! I have not had the time to scrap as life has not been the easiest for us lately so I have been occupying my time elsewhere. I am hoping that one day someone will be kind enough to help me get my cards (or layouts) published....hint, hint! ;0)<div>In these next 2 cards I really wanted to created some 'thank you' cards for those times that I cannot make it to the store, which we all know happens more than anticipated! I am very happy with the results of these cards!</div><div><br /></div><div>The butterflies are just cut out from the paper, MME paper. I believe it was an past cardstock, maybe bohemia. Then I raised the stamp with some foam adhesive squares and stamped the 'thank you' in the middle. </div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7NRLtI4m5J0-gMnNePtRKdGP0dy_8Ik0V0RzDA7rBkfAC3PqgLN5LNPGWw5KgcPDTzcJBD9YbEkYp2f17Oy4PtKjvXBHdEHEbtvc0oIiE3_ypg117xTxw4h-L8_-xRpK4HjQ0KHcG6SmH/s320/005.JPG" style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5620779892063338386" /> <div>The 'thank you' section of this card is embossed in white. I love embossing and have not done it in a while, like the rest of my scrapbooking! I inked the edges with broken china, Tim Holtz distress ink to blend in with the other blue/green and put it all together!<br /><div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgo7Hb630OOZZitA6knkEPUJll_m1p9aMMpAPDVJSuY1Qym8EMxpSqWaJPDI-70mRhiA_PF9GY5-juhwzLYbntFQ39L7J9-dwdRXSFgSL4DHu1hW2lYSW8a6QK8h0vVw2ZmWfIGsY-s7LoZ/s320/007.JPG" style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5620779896714272402" />And lastly, I had fun making some pinwheels! I'm not sure what layout I will put them in but they were fun to make different sizes and one has scalloped edges!</div><div><br /></div><div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieYkV9KIAOYRiYx5NIjaVX3hFfxFzvNTYrTMbznoDAfZl3OHCXW5TzRBPWijxyKfQss_9v2DHQiM4Upj9TZLGVjraCAfqrHWXQFR8-K6bmjJvL1exv_2xgNMijdetqcTENQt4b7_VenFpq/s320/008.JPG" style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5620779906228246194" /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Thank you for stopping by! <span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(28, 28, 28); font-family: Vivaldi; font-size: 35px; line-height: 40px; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 2px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 2px; ">Mary</span></div><div><br /></div></div></div>Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08779621018860251063noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5568535101585249306.post-20757413170256693852011-06-17T07:33:00.000-07:002011-06-19T10:08:43.274-07:00MME Card Challenge #24<div style="text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small; ">I have not been able to write anything in months because I have been so busy with so many things that time has taken me away. And now I can scrap all these wonderful pictures!! I have had 2 cats of my own, that were sisters, and very special in their own way. Their names were Angelique (my not so much of an angel), and Dominique (not so much of a devil). When they were little their names matched their personalities to a 'T'. However, that changes when they grew up and basically my angel was my devil child, and vice versa. But I loved them just as much as they loved me!</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms'; font-size: medium; ">The below layout is of my darling Dominique. She loved that little house thingy! And would sleep in it as long as she could. I have been reading lately that people seem to be more thankful for items that they take for granted than for life itself. Meaning, I read one day that a person was complaining about their health insurance carrier. When we have not had that in 2 years! Be thankful that you have somethings in life but don't ever take it for granted, it can go just as quickly as you got it!</div><div>Below is a very simple card to convey a simple, yet true meaning! </div><div>Thank you for stopping by! <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Vivaldi; font-size: 35px; color: rgb(28, 28, 28); line-height: 40px; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 2px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 2px; ">Mary</span></div><div><br /></div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5Z_lPxGHM4o8Nv6Jl7eEh4DBnOm9nqRj-Xxwh6HgHDSuTn1p7DO7vkeAkUapG2u6B8Y6bfZEUhIVkrJHxU_z53-9i0sWyPH_nEfwkb8oPuEjjL6khnzjmQWLbKoa717eON_D6yPrsYUxn/s1600/Be+Thankful+Card+1210.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 313px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5Z_lPxGHM4o8Nv6Jl7eEh4DBnOm9nqRj-Xxwh6HgHDSuTn1p7DO7vkeAkUapG2u6B8Y6bfZEUhIVkrJHxU_z53-9i0sWyPH_nEfwkb8oPuEjjL6khnzjmQWLbKoa717eON_D6yPrsYUxn/s400/Be+Thankful+Card+1210.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5548017657171285282" /></a>Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08779621018860251063noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5568535101585249306.post-75265960258722484682010-12-07T10:48:00.001-08:002010-12-07T10:56:03.839-08:00Fall is in the Air!<div>I love fall for the shear purpose of beautifully colored trees in our neighborhood! I don't like the sharp, cold air at all, nor the rain. As long as I can capture the beauty in the nature around us, then I can survive the fall and winter! </div><div>Below is my latest layout, which is all white! It was a challenge that I am participating in and I thought, at first, there is no way I can complete an all white LO! But low and behold, its completed. on 1/2 of the flowers, and in the middle of the snowflakes, I used Stickles diamond. On the right side of the LO, I embossed white leaves going all the way up. And used last years Making Memories shimmery alpha stickers. </div><div>Thank you for stopping by! <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Vivaldi; font-size: 35px; color: rgb(28, 28, 28); line-height: 40px; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 2px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 2px; ">Mary</span></div><div><br /></div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEim8zNUKqbECbcDhfdE27CiACtrcgRffjneVCQTJG0ltJbbvJ1uUQUecAGpyCSOBmkBtmLeKrbO26JjLST9KJKo0was29fldt_KYImo4WCExId5xzOGlbUzMYXHx7Abj7lJjCubXQWuJUfB/s1600/12+10+Challenge+-+Beautiful+Fall.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 392px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEim8zNUKqbECbcDhfdE27CiACtrcgRffjneVCQTJG0ltJbbvJ1uUQUecAGpyCSOBmkBtmLeKrbO26JjLST9KJKo0was29fldt_KYImo4WCExId5xzOGlbUzMYXHx7Abj7lJjCubXQWuJUfB/s400/12+10+Challenge+-+Beautiful+Fall.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5548014393609203154" /></a>Close up on the flowers, which 1/2 were painted with Stickles diamond color. I am very late in starting them and I have so many cute stamps to experiment with right now. So this is the fist card and I used some scraps from last year that I am in dire need to get rid of! I stamped the greeting and the snowflakes. Then on the snowflakes I added stickles silver to give it that shinny look! </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">TFL! <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Vivaldi; font-size: 35px; color: rgb(28, 28, 28); line-height: 40px; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 2px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 2px; ">Mary</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Vivaldi; font-size: 35px; color: rgb(28, 28, 28); line-height: 40px; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 2px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 2px; "><br /></span></div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPIfxInZuaft_z5hS7OkeBtwhMApgzYsqXwdrP7uJ3o36W4xUFIXdVMnihEMmWv62trGzpuTSYwqi7KM0pVDc36zFqBg8lERpf20rRagOQh9A_v0YCWjcLOwxLeAlx5iUb-EvEmL228l9c/s400/Seasons+Greetings+1+2010.jpg" style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 308px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5541822388265906786" />Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08779621018860251063noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5568535101585249306.post-85677655613494306292010-11-20T16:49:00.000-08:002010-11-20T16:57:26.750-08:00Laugh at anything LO...<div>Oh boy am I behind on my blog! Tis the season to get a lot done in a short amount of time, right? Well I have completed 2 layouts and 1 card. I am hoping to get a couple more cards in this weekend and maybe 1 more layout, but that is asking a lot right now. The below LO is my dd when she was a little over a year (I think?). She always has these wonderful facial expressions and I'm so glad she loves the camera at any given moment!</div><div><br /></div><div>TFL!! <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: verdana, arial, Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; color: rgb(28, 28, 28); line-height: 16px; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 2px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 2px; "> <span style="font-family: Vivaldi; font-size: 35px; line-height: 40px; ">Mary</span></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: verdana, arial, Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; color: rgb(28, 28, 28); line-height: 16px; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 2px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 2px; "><span style="font-family: Vivaldi; font-size: 35px; line-height: 40px; "><br /></span></span></div><div>Products used for the LO:</div><div><br /></div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIt8yOzUIbq5pe-pYNyzOleaDEMTVtcQ04xdqAuyvV2y8M5RX9hwOkbeGY69sXzD2cxHzqE5XASOD4tht1NiJD4Pfu3c4VDQvDRWXKziOB8RU9_LVa01Iz0YUdMr1gZcb0m5eVNPtkdwnT/s400/001+%25282%2529.JPG" style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5541799768133982898" />Completed LO: the borders are stamped,and the saying under the picture is embossed. I have one more to do but I'm just not sure if I will be able to get it done in time :0( This layout is the 4th one of the set but I skipped #3. The monochrome color is harvest time gold and the twist is a hidden journal, which I skipped this time. I'm also entering this one in the no printed paper challenge. If you really look the only thing that I did was ink some white paper, stamp, and mask the rest! I sort of had a hard time with this one as I'm not a 'yellow' kind of person. But I made it work for me and my dd likes it.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">TFL! <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: verdana, arial, Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; color: rgb(28, 28, 28); line-height: 16px; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 2px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 2px; "> <span style="font-family: Vivaldi; font-size: 35px; line-height: 40px; ">Mary</span></span></div><div><br /></div><div>These are the products that were used for the completed LO, plus the crop-o-dile:<br /><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQGDY5Nl938A0FMBGv5o6JlNXPhkoLu8FGPcHHogrHK5mGap-3IzUyF1YH9_xviauu2CE-2wmTSmjHsZihtZRH0t4fQTbUEKkKnoUTvkwaJdt4yAezeoMmZMX0I2IGV-qDsqscOXlurA9P/s400/001.JPG" style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5533231046509432514" />I used the ekSuccess punches as masks for the border on the entire page and the frame around the picture. I have this terrible cold and I have not wanted to scrap. Thank God I am feeling a bit better, not much, but it works so I can get in the mood to finish some projects! </span></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;">The below layout is the second of four that should be finished this week. The layout is "October Sky" blue for the monochrome challenge, and the twist should be a fall quote. </span></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;">I made blue flower along with the fence behind the picture and the leaf mask. The fence and the leaf was easy to do. For the fence I just folded a white piece of paper, like a fan, except do not fold the bottom part. Make sure to get the creases in good. Then unfold it and flatten the paper but not too much. Take your inking pad and start inking up and down on the paper. In my case, I used Tim Holtz's distress ink walnut stain. For the leaf mask, I found a leaf template on line, printed it out, then cut the pattern.</span></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"><br /></span></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;">TFL! </span></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Vivaldi; font-size: 35px; color: rgb(28, 28, 28); line-height: 40px; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 2px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 2px; ">Mary</span></div><div><br /></div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNvtZdpn1_SLR_gLkXnoMpWyTeiynddhpWhxH6EvYaCHGmKo8K85WhsaLZMBaIFy9MkWNtKiXRXOzAKzcAJWgIGM_KZyUouU5PNZMGvO7Co7ur0noePM_dBS36PoF4nyvNp6Jihss1li6j/s1600/029.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNvtZdpn1_SLR_gLkXnoMpWyTeiynddhpWhxH6EvYaCHGmKo8K85WhsaLZMBaIFy9MkWNtKiXRXOzAKzcAJWgIGM_KZyUouU5PNZMGvO7Co7ur0noePM_dBS36PoF4nyvNp6Jihss1li6j/s400/029.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5532458322539966850" /></a>Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08779621018860251063noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5568535101585249306.post-48683708253245435132010-10-15T07:37:00.000-07:002010-10-15T07:51:14.742-07:00You are my Sunshine<div>This LO was sort of completed last night with the exception of the 2 hand made flowers that were not glued on. Yes, I said hand made flowers that were not in the first batch that I made. My dd picked out the colors and I thought they went beautifully with the pp in the LO. I took the picture one night when we were driving to the pumpkin patch, only to find out it already closed. I did alter the picture by making it a B&W. </div><div><br /></div><div>TFL! <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Vivaldi; font-size: 35px; color: rgb(28, 28, 28); line-height: 40px; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 2px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 2px; ">Mary </span></div><div><br /></div><div>Completed LO:</div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5neYuA_vtUI4yvnd71J7BnC-mzhb4hbUDFlg2aMnlffJChyphenhyphenfPclNzxpO2KHwAa_qiaqeTMDxbYKkFRNhcfGOlwvh5OwX-HSp5eLBw1s1SqwiuiOpovmAO1u4oiRLfWZ9UTXmgD-OA0KfI/s400/NS+%26+flower+and+bling.JPG" style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5528283473217137874" />These are the products used in the LO, plus the Crop-A-Dile II.<br /><div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9a5DIwox0T6gARdJrgahuFGNHllmIf9UYbsEqYToGQq9TqLLeHJz4_1RcqhvY0rfdcVA5i4o6YdgZ5PV7hUVfdA5UbzyKrpqJX-z5ERVKJfbN8JGSWqio9wnb5gWwqb6z_Rj4lvqPnInX/s400/002+(2).JPG" style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5528283644841922274" />Close up of the hand made flowers.<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJbXZrpOuc6N7m5WQvb8G1cCW-jRpJSWmQ8AIj1UOtGjI9VRiNZbe3cEAQAZrwelj1-VmktUST3ykNkc-HrCNlc89Ef3k-3VBng2T27INbHCsMBCyVujsv56FGE9wQyFywytmcNkxR7pdt/s1600/003+(2).JPG"></a></div><div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJbXZrpOuc6N7m5WQvb8G1cCW-jRpJSWmQ8AIj1UOtGjI9VRiNZbe3cEAQAZrwelj1-VmktUST3ykNkc-HrCNlc89Ef3k-3VBng2T27INbHCsMBCyVujsv56FGE9wQyFywytmcNkxR7pdt/s1600/003+(2).JPG"><img style="text-align: left;display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px; " src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJbXZrpOuc6N7m5WQvb8G1cCW-jRpJSWmQ8AIj1UOtGjI9VRiNZbe3cEAQAZrwelj1-VmktUST3ykNkc-HrCNlc89Ef3k-3VBng2T27INbHCsMBCyVujsv56FGE9wQyFywytmcNkxR7pdt/s400/003+(2).JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5528283998940084962" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div></div>Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08779621018860251063noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5568535101585249306.post-21808623725938131002010-10-13T15:43:00.000-07:002010-10-13T16:28:42.805-07:00Creating Flowers<div style="text-align: left;">OMG! I'm super excited because I have finally created hand made paper flowers! It has taken me a couple of times to do but since I have been scrapping more LO's and cards, I seem to have gotten it. There is some patience involved and a little bit of time but over all I got it! I did get a little help from a sb.com friend and her tutorial is on her blog page, <a href="http://gabriellepollacco.blogspot.com/">http://gabriellepollacco.blogspot.com</a>. I did modify some of mine a bit but for the most part used her technique.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">TFL! <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Vivaldi; font-size: 35px; color: rgb(28, 28, 28); line-height: 40px; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 2px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 2px; ">Mary</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" ><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 35px; line-height: 40px; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 2px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 2px;"><br /></span></span></div><div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOrIb2kuSiIBTTzW64muwskfvzxqjTnqUfzH9QLOMhx1So1OoSAuJEkR-BVjNCu5DY-xsx2zLgkAl1xOz48xatITsPv_AClRTZ0YFNlTD584-i80BBjNmR5Qpwuf67P0Ymi-wGl2XgUCC1/s400/flowers+1010.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5527665643638061490" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px; " /></div><div><br /></div>Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08779621018860251063noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5568535101585249306.post-79886487755592021622010-10-09T18:27:00.000-07:002010-10-09T18:54:31.548-07:00Challenges - Monochrome #1<div>Yes that's right - I'm participating in another challenge! I'm really starting to like these challenges. I'm hoping one day I will actually win (or receive a random act of kindness) for the challenge! This challenge is one of four layouts for this month. The colors, themes, etc., are really good and challenges myself again! Doing something new allows yourself to explore other creativities that you thought you did not have!<div>The below is first of many that I will be showing. I was inspired to try a flower again, after my first attempt was a flop! I think the second time is a charm for me, what do you think? The paper is from an unknown company, since my mom passed away I inherited her stash, and in the stash was pre-made die cuts. So since the budget is getting tighter I looked through it and made the below card. I love the colors as it reminds me of fall!<div><br /></div><div>TFL! <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Vivaldi; font-size: 35px; color: rgb(28, 28, 28); line-height: 40px; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 2px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 2px; ">Mary</span><br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUdJ7v3MS-i4WcRBN2t9IyDxQw2YcaiUxpHRg_E1V2scfzB2teS5iu-eFF5CyHU0yE-9JwZ0v9cq4RMj-IJewnZdEtDk_h8lK9lXOMpFbwCYZtDHZdL_BQqA3dCphdSB0FnKNNVHsK2nVc/s1600/001.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUdJ7v3MS-i4WcRBN2t9IyDxQw2YcaiUxpHRg_E1V2scfzB2teS5iu-eFF5CyHU0yE-9JwZ0v9cq4RMj-IJewnZdEtDk_h8lK9lXOMpFbwCYZtDHZdL_BQqA3dCphdSB0FnKNNVHsK2nVc/s400/001.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5524442183100048322" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUdJ7v3MS-i4WcRBN2t9IyDxQw2YcaiUxpHRg_E1V2scfzB2teS5iu-eFF5CyHU0yE-9JwZ0v9cq4RMj-IJewnZdEtDk_h8lK9lXOMpFbwCYZtDHZdL_BQqA3dCphdSB0FnKNNVHsK2nVc/s1600/001.JPG"></a>Close up of the flower, which was inspired by Tina at My Paper Pantry, <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: verdana, arial, Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; color: rgb(28, 28, 28); ">www.tina-mypaperpantry.blogspot.com. </span><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUdJ7v3MS-i4WcRBN2t9IyDxQw2YcaiUxpHRg_E1V2scfzB2teS5iu-eFF5CyHU0yE-9JwZ0v9cq4RMj-IJewnZdEtDk_h8lK9lXOMpFbwCYZtDHZdL_BQqA3dCphdSB0FnKNNVHsK2nVc/s1600/001.JPG"></a><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyVzYlB1SIjJiME4DDfaK2tWl-YtrZNbcPjtKyqe440va2rL8ZGulK9OFU5PeIM9gHYs4Lt48OJfDhwD39dzUJbeMm1F1QobhJvhrQz_geP0dwuI9XshQc3YVKN0Xl5NrlsCqIzd7eAst7/s400/002.JPG" style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5524442336798238050" /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>And for the fun of Halloween....another card for the occasion! I am almost done with all 4 layouts, and it has been a challenging month for me. I have never done a challenge before and just in the month of September I have completed (almost) 3 challenges, 6 layouts! I know some people complete more than that in a month but give me a little credit for doing 6! <div>#3 of the 4 is green, and the twist is suppose to have 5 shades of green. The picture does not do it justice - there are 5 shades and I love the picture of my dh and dd at the beach talking! I shot the perfect picture at the perfect time. Hence the name of the LO is A Perfect Moment in Time!</div><div><br /></div><div>TFL!!</div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: verdana, arial, Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; color: rgb(28, 28, 28); line-height: 16px; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 2px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 2px; "> <span style="font-family: Vivaldi; font-size: 35px; line-height: 40px; ">Mary</span></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: verdana, arial, Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; color: rgb(28, 28, 28); line-height: 16px; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 2px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 2px; "><span style="font-family: Vivaldi; font-size: 35px; line-height: 40px; "><br /></span></span></div><div>Products used for the Layout:</div><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5x4HWQN2FY_JBxRrmjyqeXYXiJbhb3sA7XpqVHjfDnXFh1MxIISYo62XZI3C2yWDlWPlH0jDw08YSK6f7p54rbbWkrV8GKhLqoJCtKzgR-rhlWdgk9RmplWSKT2uJkwcExt8MogC1lw6R/s400/004+(3).JPG" style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5522382625797290194" /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Completed Layout:</div><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlnebE6-Iia4HCuPpGE2c1XR-qgxUACM-fkZMC2wZMtJ2zuCnnXJDv3MIURB4zPnZHCIl3P41LqFecTtwtjGpnJCvAUZfpLixxICfahyjcYVxP1oqFgLwVL-gwXwObkezM3mFSxT-ZcQ-u/s400/001+(7).JPG" style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5522382933575493762" /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Close up on heart brads, and picture:</div><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhY_LuvbhpLuxD2ZVkmOE1sqj4Aw9df5aH4zlZ2VYBojkxfzsW-WMXSkFGnZaiYaN8i7X4TC9UvqyFcnknoh5k5lt3AatPju_bEZEBIqvyzL-SVh9RRO_13OX9zwebfK4LPvCRyxUUSlL3b/s400/002+(2).JPG" style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5522383923410627890" /></div>Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08779621018860251063noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5568535101585249306.post-1566754091829404212010-09-22T19:16:00.000-07:002010-09-22T19:29:20.593-07:00Monochrome Challenge LO#2This is the second of four (4) that I signed up to complete for the September Monochrome Challenge on scrapbook.com - Love that site! This challenge is to create a LO with your favorite pastel, and the twist (added points) is to use embossing, which I love to do! I love using pinks and purples in most of my LO's so this one was great, and the LO was simplistic, as I did not want to clutter it too much. Hence the name of the LO - So Sweet!<div>TFL!!</div><div><br /></div><div>Products I used in the LO:</div><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhY6sH5iXskJVT09DSCZsVZCE4njcnfw9-tWPEHRDZrD_Mu1IKonzFcx5k1Bl7zNX-c1ci_ecRgGICaIfh7P9h5pKROQInPgTPrpGoMcsNiTRoeYLNh1Eh9cNDtmcmWJuB0M9w6G_-2ntJY/s400/001+(6).JPG" style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5519928392818935698" /></div><div><br /></div><div>Full LO View:</div><div>I used the small stamp (clear w/red flowers shown above) to use for the embossing under the picture. There is really light dark pink ink on the edges of the white page, and really light dusty concord ink on the whole white page. On the edges of the main/purple page, I sewed in white to stay consistent with the colors I used.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRTsTfTFpUMG1o9Ng5OPvNaWnh9rvkcTOKDUyZ-ZAt-Ij6daoDuPfHR6_biAJzIYLaLLv0gEznuqqGUQlBj0oFaCW4-4Xhf1pGoTHMrwYy1abzQqW2HNt7HL9hj7HclZe2eYVPIiRzM556/s400/003+(2).JPG" style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5519928650197448434" /></div><div><br /></div><div>Closer of the embossed flowers, inking on edged white paper and inking on white paper:</div><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIQal1_mv1BkJNhfpmCS6uAD3kJF5lS2rKSW0RJND7J7JJTIWAAK1O2I6DPj5gN29yfvVtlVM-IsMxjVZsArhScHuObKSq39YNSeF0RABMk14SgYOlGDnGpMNoJANAv2I9cDuFIb3WfJ-7/s400/004+(2).JPG" style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5519929741635700898" /></div><div><br /></div>Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08779621018860251063noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5568535101585249306.post-3249903898698756972010-09-19T08:30:00.000-07:002010-09-19T09:07:22.552-07:00All I want for Christmas - September Monochrome ChallengeThese challenges are definitely getting me going on my layouts for the year! Also, challenging me to go beyond what I normally do. This challenge I will be creating four (4) different LO's. This is the first (1) of the four (4) (on scrapbook.com). The challenge was to create a layout using brick red, and the twist was negative space. Since I had practice with negative space on my last layout that did not seem as challenging as the first time. There is a definite ease when you do a layout technique for the second time. TFL!<div><br /></div><div>Products used:</div><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxyOQiCnU10D5EBHb5MsorjLTPzjoJ5wZ-u_JUo67BedPJLb5AFRYelLg-56bAhsRz0akae5JmPguUtB0kzjPr5jEuEanzkfJTXwWbh7AWQc16iK7oOnhtDvpzy6fib41pwciyK7QNkJDP/s400/001+(5).JPG" style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5518655681632376098" /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Finished LO:</div><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCmmx9CctyTWLfw0JGnW0YdmH2K7D51gwYXsVXlLLLFNFXOMxwFXLIDbHlQZE9YVqNT7msOiZxzFyFSmfGewAlZAtZC6wBa5cC8Oa9j-jJ_B90nfmav2hrUQ9TkiLxmDcckkaCjfvk5oJy/s400/001+(3).JPG" style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5518655837885521746" /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Close up of poinsetta's with brads:</div><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkl4xW7baQxQGbFCxstdeIIfygxigIIZoGns2RmTMkhyphenhyphenBwpKLd2i1Hztort8BYDOZDsXoiXH5sSvFNWVtF6v5Lw7CCpRVktgA_caMSNe0J6pOLzk6e_vZeSHwuptsv43J4ewPtgPK5cVRd/s400/002.JPG" style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5518656011264642818" /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Close up on the border punch work with rub-ons, and gems:</div><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcZdOeF_-DizrfnJLuWtQ6L7167oZlFV5FPRikmdATO0iH5pEXJuHLIUwHMoB-co200PZkAic3KKNIbIEhY0JlywsgP2b7ngs2HhMuQrFCRfq-8C7DGnGgktId5SESXVYCqlyBu_Scn-Yt/s400/003.JPG" style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5518656291033024178" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div><br /></div>Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08779621018860251063noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5568535101585249306.post-51676062904411061932010-09-15T16:40:00.001-07:002010-09-19T08:28:49.499-07:00Cherish - Designed for September ChallengeI'm really excited about these challenges as it brings out more creativity in me, and it pushes me to create more layouts!! This LO is for the September Negative Challenge in sb.com. I enjoyed it allot! All I need to do was make sure there was negative space on it.....and since it was my first time, I hope I accomplished just that! Thank you for stopping by to take a peek at the items used and a closer look!<div><br /></div><div>Items used for the LO:</div><div><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigU_XZO18if5528o1ZIqx6VYAXqu-SN0zFy7NxvTHErGM_PJ8E-d9oGyvQks7QkBy-XjrT746zVCTkwvJOg75Gkuj7D6tm_7RYVdqR-5WnH8G1JWK7vHg7GT8TOVNU8PAIqhsz7hH4QDFI/s400/001+(4).JPG" style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5518646494663875250" /></div></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">The finished LO:</div><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1hxMymwd2tP0YhzHWmm9IqkicaFoc2D6hbtfxaCeIwnhNUJjzULbf4pxNz3zKjjZDFaChW7R7-7uQmKb_WQzZnZ1gChnuZEsd7L-u7hdYhDkFliYw8NP4g-kFx7THytJOTjDn-k0O_Cy9/s400/001+(2).JPG" style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5518646780753507634" /></div>Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08779621018860251063noreply@blogger.com0
