2 beautiful thank you cards

Well I was really fortunate to go to a scrapbooking event, where I got to scrap for a couple hours with really nice girlfriends - I just met some of them for the first time! I have not had the time to scrap as life has not been the easiest for us lately so I have been occupying my time elsewhere. I am hoping that one day someone will be kind enough to help me get my cards (or layouts) published....hint, hint! ;0)

In these next 2 cards I really wanted to created some 'thank you' cards for those times that I cannot make it to the store, which we all know happens more than anticipated! I am very happy with the results of these cards!

The butterflies are just cut out from the paper, MME paper. I believe it was an past cardstock, maybe bohemia. Then I raised the stamp with some foam adhesive squares and stamped the 'thank you' in the middle.

The 'thank you' section of this card is embossed in white. I love embossing and have not done it in a while, like the rest of my scrapbooking! I inked the edges with broken china, Tim Holtz distress ink to blend in with the other blue/green and put it all together!

And lastly, I had fun making some pinwheels! I'm not sure what layout I will put them in but they were fun to make different sizes and one has scalloped edges!

MME Card Challenge #24

I have not been able to write anything in months because I have been so busy with so many things that time has taken me away. I was really encouraged to do a challenge by MME - criteria was the below sketch and I had to use song lyrics! How fun, huh! All of the information on their webpage, MME webpage.

I had a blast doing this challenge! Here is my card using 'Party like its 1999' by Prince as a Happy Birthday Card for someone special!

Here are the items that I used in it and all of the paper is MME!

~ background paper, circles, line paper and letters & numbers is MME, Bohemia & 20th Street Market.

~ the embossing is sizzix - Happy birthday

~ inking around the circles is Tim Holtz - walnut stain

~ stickers - Jolee ( I think! )
